Bitter Truths of Indian Education System

Almost all of us know what is education or what are its positive sides, its POSITIVE impact on life and what an educated person is capable of, how it can turn the tables around and very few of us are educated about business involved in it! about what is it and how it controls the entire things ...right?

Lets focus on the mafia behind courses

Now this business thing is present in everywhere of the world, right from a child's diaper to its old age job retirement, BUT lets get into the depth of the business in education , many of who have passed the university or currently studying in university would have realised that getting in a school is quite very simple for all peoples whether  its for poor, middle or rich class peoples. Now as we grow up, school changes into college and college changes into university , and as we choose our career field, we definitely have to pay the price for it, now this business is all about the system and price that you are going to pay for your career, in case of a private university  the person that you are going to pay money  for getting into his/her university has to be a reputed university with good name and quality of education otherwise it would be a waste if you don’t study in a quality university, no one will value you and your work unless it  goes viral, and many of us know that a reputed university costs a very huge amount of annual fees for a quality education and peoples with rich background are the only ones who can afford it  .

So do we need to be rich to get a quality education?

The answer is quite controversial

But first what do we mean by quality education?

Do we mean that good professors can only get us quality studies? The answer is no.

We can get ample amount of skilled and experienced professors of each and every field on the so called you-tube platform and get knowledge for free, the only thing that we pay for is the tools and equipment's available in university and the kind of system that the university gets us involved in, that will help us for achieving that precious certificate of degree of that university, and lets not forget what the CEO of Tesla (Elon musk) said : we can learn everything for free!

The facts you read above is only applicable if the university is a private university.

so what’s the scenario in a governmental university?

Governmental universities are almost 90% cheaper as compared to private university .

So why do peoples don’t go in governmental institute rather then a private institute?

The answer is that whole population want their admission to be in a governmental institute but because of the limited governmental institute its not possible to give admission to the whole population, so for getting in a government university first a person have to clear an entrance exam test which is based on their college syllabus (i.e. 11th and 12th) believe it or not the entrance exam is actually so tough that  some students start to prepare for their entrance exams right from their school years to clear it in 1st attempt.

What about the students who don’t start their practise and preparations right from school years?

Well 5-10% of students do get qualified in their 1st attempt because of their initial practise and preparations as they have being informed by someone, may be a dropper friend or their own educated parents or their serious teachers.

Now the question arises that, if teachers inform everyone about this entrance exam then why is not everyone capable of clearing their entrance exam in 1st attempt?

And this is the point where everyone is misleading for years! Teachers now-a-days just mention a tag about  this toughest exam to their students but they never even try to go into the depth of this serious topic and also they put upfront this tag in front of everyone else only after half of the academic year is passed , and why is that? , don’t they want their students to pass their exams? , yes they want their students to pass exams but more importantly they want money, and as we know everyone(students) is different, so as teachers don’t go into deep of this toughest exam topic so do most of the students, but some students (only 2-3%) catch this tag , take it seriously and they(students) even unfold each and every point by Google or you-tube about how the preparations should be done efficiently and after that,

they spend sleepless nights to achieve it, but then also many wont clear it in 1st attempt, and after that students got none other choice than to take a drop, waste their precious year and start it right from the scratch, and this is the time where this greedy teachers were waiting for! Most of the dropper students in count of millions join coaching institutes for preparation and in return they(students) pay almost 1,00,000+ Indian rupees, can you just imagine the amount of money this  big coaching institutes gain in just one year!?  Its more than a million dollar per month and obviously MANY STUDENTS are still not selected just because of low university seats and here’s the mind blowing fact: students who pay 1,00,000+ Indian rupees to this big coaching institutes are the only ones who get selected cause their scores are extra ordinary which is actually not possible for a student who doesn’t gets any guidance from brilliant teachers but what can they do if they don’t have the amount to pay to this big coaching institutes? , don’t misunderstand by thinking that the unselected students are not capable, they actually score really good marks about more than 80% but remain unselected in governmental universities just because of the obvious fact of low seats!

It make's talented students feel useless!

Is it fare what the Indian government is doing!?

Obviously not, but less do they care, its quite observable of their efforts they are taking for raising university seats and do not forget the caste system in India which makes getting admissions a living nightmare in each and every universities and colleges in India.

Lets take a look at how government covers its drawbacks without coming in notice of most peoples!

Their are various entrance exam for getting admissions in engineering and medical field in state as well as national level:-

[JEE(MAINS)/JEE(ADVANCE)/NEET](National level exams)

JEE(MAINS)/JEE(ADVANCE) (joint entrance examination):-

This is a nation entrance exam and was brought in 2002 to get admissions in IIT  through [JEE(ADVANCED)+JEE(MAINS)] or NITs, CFTIs, through JEE(MAINS), IIT universities  are very highly reputated universities in all over the world, most of the international companies make their visit only to IIT university cause it needs very high efforts for a students to make their way to a IIT university, almost 1 million students give this exam and only 13,376  get selected because that’s the only no. of seats  India can provide currently and also need to include the toughness of this entrance exam is extremely high, so IITs exceptionally fell in a prestigious category, JEE(MAINS) /JEE (ADVANCED) exams consist of negative marking (-1) for every wrong answer, before JEE/JEE(ADVANCE) admissions used to happen by considering the 12TH board mark sheets , and also you won’t be able to get  admissions in IITs, NITs, CFTIs,  so we can say this entrance exam actually filters and gives most extraordinary students to society!

BUT WAIT!

Don’t  analyse that all of these prestigious students get whatever they dreamed of, a lot of IITs just dropout  from their academic years or from their own jobs and do their own start-up.

Why is that so?

The reason is that the expectations didn’t  match(mostly the annual package/has better options), and after all the drama made by the very glamorous IIT university  the IITs obtained to India is 60% of the total population in university, rest 5-10% of them fly to abroad ,and rest don’t even get jobs in the campus!

So what is India gaining from these IIT universities?

Not much, even though the total amount of engineers produced in India annually is 15 lakhs which makes India stand on top of producing engineers in world, it is quite questionable that why is India not gaining better equipment's than other nations, the ALL INDIA RANK is 5000 of IITs produced annually, which means they have surpassed the limits of the rest 14,95,000 students but yet 15-20% IITs don’t get even job in the campus!   if there is a talent it should be given a complete opportunity , it’s like India is working hard for countries over abroad and not respecting its owns talent(not giving opportunity).

NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test):-

NEET is a national level medical entrance exam which was introduced in the year 2013 by MCI (medical council of India) which is used to get admissions in MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and Pharmacy universities. Most of the mafia’s focus on India medical courses mainly on private MBBS universities because of negligence of corrupt  government(which is never going to change). It becomes a trump card for earning money due to which a student and his/her family(who doesn't have a rich background) actually suffers a lot.

Why is that so?

The reason is annual fees of the universities. In government colleges it’s not a problem[INR 70000 to INR 100000], but in private universities it is a major problem because the actual annual fees is more than 1 million rupees even after you get a seat through counselling (which is mandatory). The reason for such a high annual fees is greater competition and low number of seats i.e., 76,926 currently in 2020 and there are approximately 1-2 million students giving NEET each year, the government failed to cope up with the increasing demands and for covering up these drawback they(government) introduced NEET by giving a slogan:- Neet exam will bring up quality doctors. Then why are exams included in universities?

Are the university exams not sufficient enough to speak that non-worthy student won't be able to become a doctor? And even then raising up the university seats is not a concern for the government because it brings a lot of money to the government taxes, but its not that the fees cannot be reduced:-

A group of fraternity is been setup by government for controlling the fees system of medical universities!

We can see how much efforts are taken to change the fee structures in private medical universities(poor families don’t go for preparations of  MBBS in India), because of which mafia’s has a very huge advantage.
